Privacy Policy for Oneiro

This Privacy Policy applies to the Oneiro mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"), created by Celal Çağlar Okuducu (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a commercial service. This service is provided on an "AS IS" basis.

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide its core features, the Application collects the following information:

• Dream Text: When you record or type a dream, the text content is collected for analysis. This data is stored locally on your device. Optional encrypted backups are stored in your private iCloud account. We do not host your dream texts on our own backend servers.
• Voice Recordings: When using the voice recording feature, your audio is processed to be converted into text. This processing occurs either on-device or via secure edge functions (using OpenAI Whisper technology). Voice recordings are temporary and are never stored on our servers once the transcription is complete.
• Personality Profile: The App generates a psychological profile based on your dream patterns, including personality types, dominant emotions, active themes, and recurring archetypes.
• Conversation History: Follow-up messages exchanged during interactive AI dream analysis sessions are processed to maintain context.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics may be collected to improve application performance and user experience.
• Registration & Identity: Registration is not mandatory. Temporary anonymous user IDs (via RevenueCat) are used to manage subscriptions. No personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name or email address is collected unless you voluntarily provide it.

2. AI-Powered Analysis and Data Processing

Oneiro utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze dream entries and provide personalized interpretations. When you submit a dream for analysis, the following occurs:

• Data Transmission: Dream text and personality profiles are transmitted via secure HTTPS/TLS connections to our secure infrastructure (Supabase Edge Functions) and subsequently to third-party AI providers (OpenAI).
• Anonymity: No personal information (name, email, etc.) is shared with AI service providers. Only the text content of the dream and relevant metadata necessary for analysis are sent.
• Purpose of Use: AI services use this data solely for sentiment analysis, keyword extraction, symbolic interpretation, audio transcription, and generating insights. Your data is NOT used to train AI models or for advertising purposes.
• Data Retention: Third-party AI services process your data in real-time to generate the requested output and do not retain the content for their own use once the analysis is complete.
